Preparing for an Arthrogram
We work with your doctor to pre-register you and pre-approve your insurance coverage. If your ordered exam is the result of a Worker's Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident, we will verify this information prior to scheduling your appointment. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled exam, then simply check-in and wait for the technologist to call your name. We ask that you review the following preparation checklist and pre-screening questions prior to your visit.
Preparation Checklist
Prior to your appointment, please consider the following:
- Bring all insurance information.
- Bring any previous diagnostic films (X-Rays, Ultrasound, CT, or MRI scans).
- Check with one of our medical office assistants, whether you can eat, drink and take medications prior to your exam.
- Leave valuables at home or in your car, since no metallic objects can be worn or carried into the exam area (e.g., watch, jewelry, keys, cell phones, hearing aids and coins). Lockers are available in our exam area for safekeeping of belongings.
- Please inform your physician if you have experienced claustrophobia in the past so medication can be prescribed prior to your appointment.
- You may be asked to wear a hospital gown during the exam. You may come in your own loose clothing, as long as there are no metal snaps or zippers.
- Questions? Contact us: (800) 979-4674
